Lawyer and industrial engineer with more than 25 years of experience in the management of the legal function in multinational companies and also in accomplishing major projects.
Has worked in companies in the chemical, home appliances, telecommunications, automotive and service sectors. Has worked part of this time overseas. This diversified experience, allied to a double background, allows a strategic and multidisciplinary vision, focused on results for the business.
Also adds an experience of 15 years as compliance officer for his companies in the region, being responsible for the implementation of the compliance program, training and investigations. Has also advocated for his clients in class associations and in regulatory and governmental offices.
Graduated in Law at the Law School of the University of São Paulo and in Industrial Engineering (“Engenharia de Produção”) at the Escola Politécnica of the University of São Paulo. Holds a Master Degree in Tax Law from the Law School of the Fundação Getúlio Vargas, with his dissertation on the Tax Aspects of the Automotive Regime in Brazil – INOVAR-Auto.
Roberto was certified in compliance by SCCE and has several courses of specialization, in particular in Telecommunications Law (IPEJUR) and Corporate Law (FGV Law).
A native Portuguese speaker, is also fluent in English, Spanish and Italian.
Has always been focused in communication legal issues in a clear and objective way. Has the satisfaction of hearing, many times in his career, the expression “I finally get it”.
Taking advantage of his formation as an engineer, has always mapped the business processes to work proactively. Believes that the legal function must always be a facilitator, with the adequate identification of risks, never an obstacle. Also thinks that the solution of a problem is not the end, but the beginning of an improvement plan.
